Courtney and Mike asked me to take their engagement photos early this year. It was still technically winter in D.C. and the Cherry Blossoms weren’t quite in bloom yet, but we managed to chose a day when the weather was behaving and I think we got a few really great shots. Courtney and Mike (and […]
Taking Julia’s senior pics really made me nostalgic! I miss those worry-free days!
Had a great morning in Chesapeake battling mosquitos to get these family photos for my friend Kim!
I met Derek and Allison almost two years ago now. When we met, it was just the two of them. They were getting ready to celebrate their fifth anniversary. Fast forward to 2017, they added a dog and a baby to the equation almost simultaneously, and now they’re getting ready to leave town so Derek […]
In June, Mike’s cousin (my cousin-in-law?) got married. Their wedding was at a beautiful house in the North Carolina mountains. I was lucky enough to photograph the event. You may remember April and Brian – I took their engagement photos, too. You can view all of the photos here: Post by Aiken Heart Photography.
Mike and I went up to DC last weekend for Taylor and Brandon’s engagement party. Before the festivities, Taylor set aside some time to snap a few proper engagement photos. These are my favorites. You can view all of the photos here: Post by Aiken Heart Photography.
Mike and I met Jess at Joenee’s wedding in New York. We became friends on Facebook, but aside from that one night, we never really spoke or hung out. Of course like the creepy sap I am, I followed Jess on Facebook and quietly shared in the joy of her engagement to Nick early this […]
On Friday I headed to North Carolina to take engagement photos for my cousin-in-law and her new fiance! They got engaged in August and I offered to take some pictures for them as an engagement present. We met at April’s office and then headed to the Carl Sandburg House and Farm in Flat Rock. Western […]
Friday I only worked until 1 PM, so when I got home, Mike and I decided to go on an impromptu camping trip for our 16 monthiversary. We packed up our camping stuff (twinkle lights included), left some food out for the cats, and hit the road to Pisgah National Forest. The weather was absolutely […]
This summer has been anything but summery. I think we’ve had 40 straight days of rain. Not exaggerating. The Savannah River is flooded. Snakes and alligators are making their homes in people’s yards because their habitat (the river bank) is displaced. We went almost 2 weeks without mowing the lawn because it has been too […]
