Beach Dogs

We took Boomer and Bella to Virginia Beach to get some of their energy out.  The weather has been so snowy/rainy it has been hard to walk them.  Plus the backyard has been so soggy they can’t stay out longer than 5 minutes without tracking in buckets of mud. It was overcast and cold, but […]

The Great Blizzard of 2014

We got about 8 inches of snow Tuesday night.  The Shipyard where I work was closed yesterday and today, so I’ve had plenty of time to enjoy this winter wonderland. Mike drove up from Aiken on Tuesday and we’ve got to unload our Uhaul once the streets are safe.  We’re keeping all of our stuff […]

Happy Belated Holidays

Mike and I went to my mom’s house in Chesapeake for Christmas this year.  He was able to take two days off work, so we had a full week of vacation. I do prefer cold weather to […]

The Countdown to Christmas

I got our tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving, so we’ve had plenty of time to enjoy it.  This year I stuck with my red/white/gold theme, but also added a few rustic touches.  There are a few antler ornaments and the bow on top is made of burlap. I think it came together pretty nicely, […]

The Puppy

My puppy is turning into a dog.  I barely even recognize him any more.  He weighs about 25 pounds now and is quickly gaining on Bella as far as his height is concerned. But he’s sweet as ever.
