On Friday night, Mike and I ventured across the river and went on a date in Augusta. We ate dinner at the Pizza Joint and then walked along the riverfront for a while. This is what I wore.
We sat on the back deck of the restaurant. I drank wine out of a plastic cup and Mike had a Guinness. They brought his out in a plastic cup, too, but he laughed in the server’s face and told him to bring it back out in a real beer glass. Ok, he didn’t really laugh in the guy’s face, he just didn’t understand why plenty of people on the deck were drinking out of glasses and bottles, and they brought him a Guinness in a plastic cup. They brought it back in a glass. He loves Guinness. Every time he drinks Guinness, he tells me how good it is. I’m not a big fan.
The deck had this great brick wall. I probably took 311831 pictures of it.
After we ate, we explored. My favorite! Exploration also entailed picture taking, my second favorite! When I wasn’t behind the camera, I was in front of it. Which is not always a good thing.
Lol. Awkward. Anyway, I loved the beautiful flowers and nature down by the river. Here’s why:
I even convinced Mike to take a picture WITH me.
Then we found this pretty little trail right at sunset. I wonder where it goes. We didn’t have time to walk down it.
On the way back, I spotted this pretty overlook.
Mike and I almost got married in this church. And by almost, I mean I called to set up an appointment to look at their digs and they were closed. I was not patient enough to wait for them to be open.
The ride home was just as pretty.
I love date nights with my Hubcap.
