A Week in Paradise: Part 2

I decided to split the honeymoon recap up into two posts due to the sheer volume of photos I wanted to share. In reality, I probably could have split it up into 23452452 posts and still not have been satisfied…

Day 4 was pretty much solid rain all morning, but we escaped the hotel room in the afternoon and made some friends poolside. We also tried some of the local “Marajuana,” a potent concoction that tasted to me a lot like Jaegermeister and ended up putting me on my ass for the majority of the evening. Ask me what I remember from that afternoon…

Watching the rain clouds roll in…

Watching the hard core drinkers seeking shelter at the bar from the comfort of our balcony.

Friday, our last day, was absolutely beautiful and we spent the entire morning out in the sun.

Right before lunch I managed to get a migraine (who gets a migraine on vacation?) and spent the majority of the afternoon in bed with my head buried in pillows. We went to our last dinner at the resort and then packed up the room. Our shuttle to the airport was scheduled to leave the hotel at 3:30 AM despite our best efforts to deny it.

Needless to say, we had a GREAT time in Punta Cana and were very sad to say goodbye, especially with the hard reality of work waiting for us at home…

But I did miss the animals.
